It should be playing at an art house cinema near you by now. So check it out. Latina/o themed fils of quality are few and far between. No taquilla, no more movies. Go watch it, but be warned that it's gory and depressing. It's about gangs and crossing a few northern borders to the land of the much maligned dollar. POSTED November, 07 2008 ![]() Role Models' premise of two losers who are forced to take responsibility for their behavior and ultimately become adults may look familiar. Yet, Role Models is refreshing because it doesn't try too hard to be funny. There are a number of gags and comedic bits that fall flat, but the sincerity of the characters and the spirited cast makes it a pleasurable experience. The films casts American Pie alum Seann William Scott as well as Judd Apatow regulars Paul Rudd (who co-wrote the film), Elisabeth Banks and the always engaging Jane Lynch.
