Top 5 Hottest Telenovela GuysPOSTED August, 25 2009 ![]() Ladies, if you saw Sí TV’s Model Latina Miami on Sunday night (9PM ET/PT), in which the girls took on the challenge of filming a telenovela scene, then you probably dedicated a nice string of drool to actor/Telemundo host Poncho de Anda, who played the galan in the scenes (check out the hilarious results here). It’s been a long while since I watched a telenovela, and the scene got me wondering who the latest hot telenovela guys are. So I watched nothing but Telemundo and Univision for a week (thought I would hate it but I guess Latinos are built to love melodrama!) and came up with this list of top five hotties who exemplify everything that a galan should be: Hot, sexy and slightly sleazy, with perfect teeth and a gorgeous head of hair. You’ll never make fun of abuela again for watching.
Roberto Manrique—He’s like the Eddie Cibrian of telenovelas: a not-so-bright dude who was basically born to be sexually exploited and hang around perpetually shirtless. In Telemundo’s ratings monster Los Victorinos, the Ecuadorian model-turned-thespian plays one of four men named Victorino who were born on the same day, with ominous consequences (don’t ask).
Jencarlos Canela—Drop-dead gorgeous with stunning green eyes, this Miami-bron Cuban American actor plays a streetwise kid who goes up against a powerful dude (who turns out to be his father, of course!) in Telemundo’s Mas Sabe el Diablo, possibly the first novela to be set in New York.
Aldemar Correa—This Colombian newcomer is adorable as the poor boy with a dying father who attends a ritzy private school on scholarship, in Telemundo's Niños Ricos, Pobre Padres. Aww. Noble and cute. How can we resist?
Fernando Colunga—As a man bent on revenge on the rich family that spurned him as a child in Univision’s Mañana es para Siempre, Colunga is so perfectly tanned and stiff that you have to look closely to see if he’s actually breathing. But check out the opening credits to see a side of the super-sexy Mexican star that will make you want to, um, loosen his tie.
William Levy—The Cuban-born rubio model-turned-actor may not be on TV right now, since his latest Univision telenovela, Cuidado con el Angel, ended in July, but at least you have something to look forward to: Levy recently said he will appear nude in his next telenovela, Sortilegio. Yum.
